Standard Ultrasonics: high Technical Cleanliness – integrated into Chamber Cleaning

Whether in medical technology, optics, electronics or precision manufacturing: standard ultrasonics is an established, high-performance method for removing even the finest residues. At MAFAC, ultrasonics is an integral part of chamber cleaning – embedded in a continuous cleaning and drying workflow. Process-reliable, economical, and without additional personnel or space requirements.
Tailored to your application, ultrasonics at MAFAC can be used in combination with our motion-based cleaning technologies, reliably removing particulate and film contamination from well-accessible, well-flowed component surfaces.
For cleanliness-critical industries and sensitive process chains, we offer our proprietary, patented technology MAFAC rotating Ultrasonics. Here, sonication is applied uniformly and dynamically through rotation of the ultrasonic transducer – for optimized cleaning performance, even with complex structures.
Technical Highlights for Your Process
• Process-integrated method: Ultrasonic transducers are fixed in position and form an integral part of chamber cleaning.
• Targeted energy input: Frequencies of 25 kHz or 40 kHz allow adaptation to component, geometry and degree of contamination.
• Intensified cleaning: Cavitation generates local pressure impulses that reliably remove particulate and film residues.
• Application-oriented combination: Ultrasonics acts as a complementary process with MAFAC Kinematics, MAFAC Vectorkinematics or MAFAC VAP.
• High process reliability: Precisely controllable ultrasonic power ensures reproducible results.

Ultrasonic cleaning is based on the principle of acoustic cavitation. High-frequency sound waves at 25 kHz or 40 kHz are transmitted into the cleaning medium. Vacuum bubbles in the medium expand, contract and implode at high speed. These mini-implosions release mechanical energy that removes particulate and film contamination from component surfaces.
At MAFAC, standard ultrasonics is firmly integrated into chamber cleaning and acts effectively on well-accessible, well-flowed component surfaces. In this way, ultrasonics complements our dynamic cleaning technologies with patented basket–nozzle rotation and contributes to reproducible technical cleanliness within a continuous process. For a more uniform ultrasonic effect – even with complex geometries – choose our patented technology MAFAC rotating Ultrasonics.
